Privacy policy
Range 35 LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois, runs Tiny Viewers. This policy covers the website, the API and email to support.
Browsing and filtering
The page address can include the film, your search text, your child’s age band and scene filters, so our server, hosting logs and page counts receive them.
We don’t ask for your child’s name or date of birth.
Hosting logs and page counts
Vercel hosts the website and API and receives your IP address, browser details and the address you request. These can appear in hosting logs, which we use to run and protect the service. Vercel sets how long logs are kept.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and understand which pages people use. It doesn’t use cookies. It processes information such as page addresses, referring pages, browser and device details, and approximate location.
What stays in your browser
We don’t use cookies or local storage. The library keeps a list of just-added films in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.
“Watch it work”
If you start a live check, we send the selected film’s subtitle text and stored film analysis to TypeSafe, which runs Jev, the AI model the live check uses. We don’t include your IP address or browser details in that AI request.
To limit repeat runs, we count live checks per IP address in server memory, not in our database. We save each run’s results without your IP address.
Adding a film
Adding films needs the owner’s passcode. To limit guesses, we count failed attempts per IP address in server memory, and in our database against a hashed IP address. Old counts are deleted when the next attempt is checked.
Emailing us
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments. ImprovMX forwards the email to our support inbox. We keep the correspondence to answer you and follow up on the issue. Please leave out personal details about your child.
Services that handle information
Neon hosts our database, which holds the guides, live-check results and the passcode-attempt counts above.
Wikidata and Wikipedia receive film-title searches and identifiers, to identify a film and read its cast and plot. TMDB receives a film’s IMDb id only, to fetch the poster and synopsis shown on this website. OpenSubtitles receives film and subtitle identifiers.
Anthropic and TypeSafe receive film material to build and check guides: subtitles, cast lists, plot summaries and the analysis itself. To review guides, we also send each guide, with its subtitle lines and plot summary, to Anthropic’s Claude models and OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra. None of this includes visitors’ IP addresses, browser details, names or email addresses.
AI assistants and the API
AI assistants can read guides through our public API without an account. We receive the request they send, such as a film search, filters, age band or player times, plus connection details used to limit requests. An assistant could include personal details in a request; its provider’s privacy policy covers what you share with it.
How we use information
We use information to answer requests, run and protect the service, understand its use and improve the guides. We don’t sell or rent your information, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
Children
Tiny Viewers is for parents and other adults choosing films. It is not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, please contact us. If we learn we hold personal information from a child under 13, we’ll delete it.
If you’re in the UK or EU
Range 35 LLC is responsible for your information. We rely on our legitimate interests in running, protecting and improving Tiny Viewers, and on your request when you email us. Our providers process information in the United States. To get a copy of your information, or to ask us to correct, delete or stop using it, email the address below. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date below.
